WANDERERS’ Paris Cowan-Hall could miss a third opportunity to go up against his former club after missing Saturday’s win over Mansfield with an ankle injury.

The flighty winger, who has been dogged by injury problems, missed out on both fixtures last campaign against Plymouth, where he featured 40 times before leaving for Wycombe last year.

The 23-year-old watched from the sidelines on Saturday after a knock sustained in the draw with Bury the week before.

And Blues boss Gareth Ainsworth says he will not risk rushing him back to the team for Tuesday night’s trip to Home Park.

Asked about the possibility of his return, Ainsworth said “We’ll see, it will be nice for Paris to go down and face Plymoth but he took a nasty whack on his ankle when he challenged the keeper last week against Bury.

“I won’t risk anyone. We’re a slim squad. If it means going light for one game to make sure I have everyone back for the next game then I’ll do that, I won’t risk players.

“Looking after these boys is going to be really important, keeping them all fit and injury free.”

Cowan-Hall, who has one goal to his name this campaign, sat out for over a month last season with an ankle injury, and missed the early part of this season with knee ligament problems.
