THREE Wycombe Phoenix Harriers stormed to victory in the SEAA Road Relay Championships in Aldershot last weekend.

Holly Hodgkinson, Kirsten Stilwell and Olivia Lowrie won the U13 girls title in 25:37.

Each runner completed 2.3km, with Hodgkinson completing the first leg in 8:56 seconds to hand the baton over in 13th out of 82 teams taking part.

But despite a mix up in the handover, Stilwell still ran the second fastest time on the day in the second leg to overtake everyone ahead of her and come home in 8:06.

That gave Harriers a healthy ten-second lead going into the final led, and Lowrie was never threatened as she finished in 8:35 to wrap up an eight-second victory.

Three other U13 girls teams also entered, with Hatty Bell, Emma Styles and Amelia Jarvis coming home 26th in a time of 28:25.

Emily Sanderson led home the third team in 28:31 while Phoenix runners also joined forces to finsih 41st in 29:06.

Meanwhile, the U17 girls team finished in 18th position out of 44 teams with a time of 35:35mins, and the U13 boys also ran to a top-20 finish as Joe Styles, Ollie Saunders, Edward O’Neill and Harvey Bell claimed 17th in 46.40 Elsewhere, the U17 women were 18th and the U17 men were 29th.
