BEACONSFIELD SYCOB could make club history tomorrow if they beat Greenwhich Borough in the second qualifying round of The FA Cup.

The Rams have never been further in the famous competition and on paper they will start as big favourites.

Manager Andy Hurley said: “They’re a step below us, but in cup games that means nothing and we’re not counting our chickens at all.

“We’re playing extremely well at the moment. Everything seems to be coming together but we’re not presuming anything. There is no way any of us will think we just have to turn up to win.”

Greenwhich are 12th in the Southern Counties East Premier League but have won seven of their last nine in all competitions.

Hurley said: “They’re an unknown team to us, but there is a lot of money at stake and this is a very important game to us.

“We know we’re going to get knocked out sooner or later but we want to get as far as possible and we’ve been doing extra training this week to get ready for it.”

Rams were 3-1 winners over Hanwell Town in Division One Central of the Southern League last night, with Lee Thompson, Aaron Berry and Omari Patrick on target, but they remain just a point above the relegation places.
