WANDERERS could be without one of their star performers next week after Aaron Pierre sustained a head injury against Morecambe.
Doctors have looked at the central defender but it’s not yet been diagnosed if he was concussed during a first half collision between his own goalkeeper Matt Ingram and opponent Kevin Ellison.
Realising Pierre was in a bad way Ellison immediately called for the medical team to come on, and although the Wanderers defender was able to travel south again with the rest of his team mates Blues will have everything crossed he’s not been seriously damaged.
Wanderers manager Gareth Ainsworth said: “The Morecambe doctor’s been in to see him – he was in within five minutes of it happening.
“I’ve got a fantastic medical team and I trust them implicitly, and with the Morecambe doctor involved they’ll make the decision on what happens to Aaron now.
“Aaron Pierre’s been one of the performers of the season so far – it’s a big blow.”
