Three goals in the space of five frantic minutes saw Beaconsfield SYCOB fall to defeat against Aylesbury FC.

Buoyed by a 4-0 success against Aylesbury United last time out, Andy Hurley’s team started the brighter of the two sides and went ahead when Guram Guramishvilli nodded home.

The visitors held the lead until six minutes before the break before it all went wrong in a mad spell of football.

Goalkeeper Sam Bunting conceded a penalty after 39 minutes, with ex-Beaconsfield man Brian Haule dispatching the resulting spot kick.

Two minutes later Bunting was picking the ball out of his net again as a powerful strike put Aylesbury in front, before things got even worse for Hurley’s side 60 seconds before the break when Guramishvilli was given his marching orders.

The ten men couldn’t hold out until the interval, and they trailed 3-1 when Aston Goss was left unmarked to score moments before half-time.

Far from being deflated by the events of the first half, Beaconsfield responded superbly and moved within a goal thanks to Aaron Couch’s strike a minute after the break.

Third place Aylesbury restored their two goal lead, however, to inflict a third defeat in five games on their opponents.

Hurley’s side are back in action on Saturday when they host Northwood in Division One Central.
