Chesham Stags were left disappointed in their quest for a third straight league win as runaway leaders Reading Abbey put them to the sword.
The Stags came into the contest on the back of consecutive victories against Littlemore and Phoenix but were unable to stop their opponents maintaining their 100 per cent record in the Berks/Bucks & Oxon Premier as they fell to a 54-12 defeat.
Defeat leaves Rochelle Clark’s team occupying ninth position in the table ahead of their final game of the year on Saturday.
The Stags go on their travels this weekend as they take on Swindon College Old Boys, a game which promises to be another stern test for Chesham with Swindon having lost only once this season.
