Wanderers weren’t at their best as they played out a goalless draw with AFC Wimbledon on Saturday, but they dug in to record what could be a crucial point come the end of the season.

Matt Ingram made a couple of crucial stops to keep out Adebayo Akinfenwa and Co, but it was a low save from one of his own players, Marcus Bean, in the second half which was the pick of the bunch.

In front of the ‘keeper Alfie Mawson was once again in imperious form as he coped with the physical threat offered by Akinfenwa and defended stoutly as the hosts pushed for a winner.

Sam Saunders was substituted in the second half after struggling through the first 70 minutes with an injury, but he was Wanderers’ brightest spark going forward in the first half and was at the heart of their attacking forays.

Sam Wood, filling in at left-back for the second game running, delivered a whole hearted display once again and made a crucial clearance when Jake Reeves looked to be in on goal.
