Little Marlow are still looking for their first win of the season after suffering two disappointing friendly defeats.

On Saturday they hosted Wendover and looked to be in with every chance of gaining a positive result having restricted their opponents to 170-6 from their 40 overs.

But in response they failed to reach three figures as they were skittled out for just 94 from 31.3 overs.

The team were on their travels on Sunday as they journeyed to play Great Missenden Pelicans.

Captain Neil Lancum won the toss and elected to baton a soft surface, and the skipper saw his team get off to a cautious start before the loss of debutant opener Nazim Zaka for 6.

The dismissal bought Farooq Hussain (33) to the crease and he shared 55 for the second wicket with Steve Shore (27) before the latter was bowled.

Hussain departed 13 runs later bringing Arfan Sharif (36) and Tahir Rashid (25) together.

The pair added 59 before Rashid was run out, with the next five Marlow wickets falling for just 14 runs as they ended on 156-9 after 44.4 overs.

After taking to the field the visitors started well and the swing bowling of Matt Wilson (2-25) and Arfan Sharif (3-24) reduced the home side to 58-6.

But their was to be no more joy for Marlow, who watched helplessly as Alex Livie (49) and Simon Bailey (47) took their team to victory.
