Micklefield Judo Club (MJC) collected an impressive haul of nine medals last weekend at the British Masters Championships and the Northern Home Counties Mini Mon.
Over two days of competition MJC showcased their prowess across both junior and adult age groups.
On Saturday MJC coaches Paul Horseman and Sam Dobrowolski won gold and Antony Ashton also added his name to the list of gold medallists at the Masters Championships in Walsall.
Dobrowolski’s achievement had particular significance as it was the fifth consecutive year in which she had left the tournament with a gold medal around her neck.
She also collected silver medals at the European Veterans in Hungary in June this year and at the World Veterans in Amsterdam in September to add to her impressive track record.
A day later MJC’s junior contingent had a chance to show that they could not only match but better the medal collection of the adults at the Northern Home Counties Mini Mon in High Wycombe.
Jesse Chraniuk, Levi Peters, Sam Elliot, Amarah Peters and Tyrese Yearwood all won gold in their respective competitions while Bobby Pusey picked up a silver medal to complete a memorable weekend for Micklefield.
