Chesham United suffered a 2-1 loss at Dorchester Town in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division on Saturday.

The Generals went behind early on before Barnet loanee Joe Gater popped up with his first goal for the club to level.

However, Nathan walker struck in the second half to take all the points and consign Chesham to a defeat that leaves them 19th in the table.

Chalfont St Peter were on the receiving end of a 3-0 hiding at the hands of Northwood as they missed out on the chance to go ahead of Central League leaders AFC Rushden & diamonds.

A Nico Muir double saw the Saints fall two goals behind with just over 50 minutes played before Louis Stead added insult to injury with a third in the 78th minute.

The defeat was made even more painful as title rivals Rushden were humbled 4-0 by Beaconsfield SYCOB.

The victory was hugely timely for SYCOB as they ended a run of two defeats in a row and clambered up the table into eighth position.

In Division One South & West Marlow’s mood darkened as they slipped to a 1-0 defeat to league strugglers Wantage Town.

With Town heading into the game on the back of eight defeats in a row in all competitions, Marlow would have viewed the game as the ideal chance to end their own run of four games without a win.

Holmer Green were in fine form as they eased to a 5-0 win over Harefield United in the Spartan South Midlands Premier League.

Two goals from Andy Shed and one apiece for Joe Collins, Greg Deer and Ben Hodges secured the win for Green in a dominant display.

Elsewhere, Flackwell Heath kept up the pressure on Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division leaders, Thatcham Town, with a battling win against Lydney Town.

Heath took the lead in the eighth minute as Joe Blount tapped home from close range before a second half strike from Dan Rapley concluded the scoring. Risborough Rangers’ fixture against Baldock Town was called off due to a waterlogged pitch while Amersham Town were not in action at the weekend.
