There was all to play for in the Wycombe & Amersham Darts Club League, as 16 players went head to head for a place in April’s final at the weekend.

Chris Band of Hazelmere CC was in fine form as he produced an outshot of 121 to book his place in the final.

Bryan Bennis (Winchmore Hill CC), Robin Jones and Dave Reading (both Holmer Green A) all secured a place in the final as well.

They will be joined by four members of Phoenix Club as Brian Witney, Simon White, Liam Burgess and Andy King all performed well to win their respective matches.

The results owed more to consistency rather than flair as many of the standout moments came from eventual losers including two top notch outshots of 154 and 125 from Tony Steven.

Elsewhere the Divisional Super Singles Darts League took place at the Riverside Club.

Rob Brereton got off to a strong start in Division One as he won three of his four games to take an overall win ahead of Dan Franzen who finished second.

Division Two saw Mick Carlton win all three of his games to finish four points clear at the top with Andy Long and Pat O’Reilly sitting second and third respectively.

Division Three proved to be an engrossing battle as just one point separated the top three, with Blaine Jelly on five points and Mark Luckett and Steven Vaughan both on four.

Finally, Mark Dellar showcased his talent in Division Four as he threw a maximum 180 and hit an outshot of 116 to win all of his matches and take top spot.
