There was still plenty to play for in the Wycombe & Amersham Darts Club League as teams played their final games of the season on Friday.

Penn & Tylers Green headed into their match against Holmer Green Legion A with a five point lead at the top of Division One.

The pressure did little to disrupt their rhythm though as they came away with a comfortable 9-5 win to claim their third consecutive league title.

Phoenix Club finished their campaign with a 7-7 draw against Riverside Club as the pair finished second and third respectively.

It was a case of better late than never for Cressex CC E as they picked up their first win of the season in their final game with a 9-5 victory over Hazlemere CC.

Everything was still to play for in Division Two as Cressex CC C went into the season decider eight points behind Winchmore Hill CC.

Cressex did all they could to bridge the gap with a thumping 14-0 win over Bourne End CC to leave Winchmore needing a win against Judo Club to be crowned champions.

Winchmore could not be denied the title though and held their nerve to record a 9-5 win and claim top spot by just three points. With the championship being decided last week, there was little to play for in the Super Singles Darts League.

Pat O’Reilly’s hopes of securing a second place finish were dashed after he was held to a 5-5 draw by Marc Dellar in what was a fair result. O’Reilly ultimately finished fourth, while Dellar came sixth.

O’Reilly’s draw left Dan Franzen in the runners-up spot despite falling to a 7-3 loss at the hands of 10th placed Mick Carlton.

That result meant Dan Franzen was confirmed as Runner Up, as he suffered a 7-3 loss to Mick Carlton who finished 10th.

Andy Long won both of his two matches 8-2 against Steven Vaughan and Paul Woodbridge to secure ninth spot.

Finally, Steve McLeod completed a perfect season with a comfortable 8-2 win over Dave Stopps to ensure he ends the campaign with a 100 per cent winning record.
