Intrepid novice cyclists are invited to join a new initiative aimed at getting women in the Chesham area on their bikes.
The Breeze Network, which is supported by British Cycling, hopes to get one million more women into the sport by 2017.
A number of routes ranging in difficulty will be available and small, sociable groups of eight people and under will help riders of any ability enjoy the events.
Carol Nolan, who recently qualified as a Breeze champion, will lead the sessions and knows from first-hand experience the impact cycling can have on a person’s life.
Looking for a new challenge, she first got involved in the sport a year ago as a way of improving her fitness.
Having completed the London to Brighton ride, a feat she never believed was possible, Nolan felt there was no options in Chesham for beginners, especially women, to get involved in cycling.
Nolan now wants women of all ages to take part in the free to join Breeze sessions and believes her own story offers the perfect example of how rewarding cycling can be.
