Novak Djokovic will play Belgium’s David Goffin in the headline slot of tomorrow’s action at The Boodles.

The world number one is using The Boodles to make his only appearance at a grass court event ahead of defending his Wimbledon title.

He has played the Stoke Park venue every year since 2006 and is the leading name in what is an impressive turnout for The Boodles 15th anniversary.

Goffin, 25, comes into the match on the back of being knocked out of Hale by Roger Federer last week and is ranked 11th in the world.

British interests will be stoked by the appearance of the country’s number two Aljaz Bedene who opens the days play against Robin Hasse at 12.30pm.

Bedene’s most recent outing on grass saw him suffer a defeat to Andy Murray in the last 16 at Queens.

Following Djokoivic’s appearance, Victor Troicki takes on Lucas Puille before Juan Monaco plays Janko Tipsarevic, who won this year’s opening match against Nicolas Almagro, in the evening game.
