Tyrrell Hatton is set for an early start at the USPGA on Thursday as he begins his opening round at 7.30am.

The Marlow golfer has been paired with Americans Harris English and Matt Dobyns and will start his round at Baltusrol on the tenth hole.

He starts his second round at 12.45pm the following day alongside English and Dobyns, who are ranked 56th and 1485th in the world respectively.

Hatton comes into the tournament in fine form after securing a tied fifth place finish at The Open.

He will be looking to improve on the tied 25th position he earned at his previous USPGA.

The result came a week after he claimed second at the Scottish Open, and the Harleyford Golf Club member’s impressive showings of late have taken him the 53rd in the world rankings.
