Stoke Park’s ladies’ golf team are Bucks Challenge Shield winners for record-equalling fourth consecutive year.

The seven-strong team of Thaila Kirby, Daisy Kennedy, Georgina Bowers, Amelia Curtis, Jill Dodds, Camilla Kastrup and Edwina Acheson were on form throughout the tournament at Harewood Downs Golf club.

The team’s quadruple success replicates a feat achieved by Woburn between 2009 and 2012 and lady captain, Julie Cunnah, was pleased with the club’s display.

“It was certainly a day to remember and we are delighted that Stoke Park’s team spirit, fair play and determination shone through at each stage. Well played everyone,” she said.

“We have had eight tough and exciting matches this year and many ladies have played their equally important part.”

Stoke Park reached the final with a commanding win over Burnham Beeches before transferring their form to the final where they comfortably beat Buckingham Golf Club.

The club's success on the greens came in the same week they announced plans to renovate their course.

Having improved the first nine of their colt course last winter, work will commence on holes 10-18 of the Alison course in November. These holes will therefore be closed until spring 2017.
