WYCOMBE WANDERERS chairman Andrew Howard says the club are proud to offer the cheapest matchday experience in League Two, following the release of the results of the BBC’s Price of Football Survey.

The survey showed the Chairboys offer the cheapest adult matchday ticket in the division at £15 – which is even reduced by £2 when purchased in advance – while a day out came to just £22.90, which includes the cost of a ticket, pie, tea and programme.

For the second season running it shows that Adams Park is the most affordable venue for League Two football, while the club ranks fifth in the list of cheapest adult season tickets at £230.

Howard said: “The results of this survey reflect our commitment to offering an enjoyable, affordable and safe day out for fans of all ages and backgrounds. Football is an entertainment business and we want to be able to attract the highest possible number of supporters to come and watch games here at Adams Park.

“We feel we have the most sensible pricing structure we’ve had for a number of years, which has come as the result of a lot of analysis at previous trends in data. It means we are able to offer a low-cost matchday experience and make sure we are meeting our financial targets to help us progress as a sustainable fan-owned club.

“We are always looking to improve and are exploring different ways to help grow attendances at Adams Park, and I hope the people of High Wycombe can see the efforts that everyone here is making to make the town proud of its club which is owned by the fans, for the fans.”
