With the news that Nathan Tyson is back on trial for Wycombe Wanderers this week, the Bucks Free Press takes a look back through the archives at some of Tyson's best games for the club in his first spell between 2004 and 2006.

NATHAN TYSON
Five key games:

2-1 Plymouth Argyle v Wycombe Wanderers, April 10 2004-1st goal

In the games leading up the Tyson's 1st goal, the Blues had seen a few early goals, and this game was no exception. Nathan Tyson enhanced his popularity with the Blues fans when he broke free on the left before finishing tidily past McCormick in the Pilgrims' goal to give the Chairboys the lead. Again early in the second half Nathan Tyson nearly scored another goal, but his drive this time was well saved by McCormick.

2-3 Lincoln City v Wycombe Wanderers, March 5 2005 -first hat-trick

Tyson got his first of the day with the team's first push into the home box. Burnell clipped a ball over the defence and Tyson ran onto it, holding off Bloomers challenge and continuing to place his shot over the keeper Marriott. His second came from a poor header back from Bloomer, Tyson used his pace to intercept the pass and slot the ball past Marriott. His third goal came when Burnell won the ball in midfield and nicely found Uhlenbeek out wide on the right. The midfielder drove forward and ended his run with a low cross to the far post where Tyson gleefully touched in his first hat-trick of his career.

4-2 Wycombe Wanderers v Chester City, March 12 2005-two goals

Tyson showed a range of attributes in the blues meeting against Chester when Clint Easton's long throw was headed on giving Tyson a chance. He used his fast reactions and incredible speed to get onto the ball. He then swivelled on the ball to send it into the back of the net for the equaliser. Tyson then put the Blues in front, converting Bloomfield's left wing cross from close range to notch his 18th of the campaign. With five goals in two games, Tyson had quickly become a real fan favourite.

3-0 Wycombe Wanderers v Kidderminster Harriers, April 2 2005-hat-trick

Fill in left-back Joe Burnell clipped the ball down the line where Tyson let it bounce before unleashing a ferocious left-footed drive which flew into the back of the net. He then made it two, shaking off Mullins to reach a long ball and fooled keeper Danby with a little dance in front of him, before cooly slotting the ball into the back of the net. He earnt the match ball when he lept onto a ball Burnell had knocked into the box, he went on to fire the ball into the net from close range. Tyson had now scored eight in six games.

2-2 Wycombe Wanderers v Peterborough United, 29 October 2005-Last league game….

In Tyson's last league game for the club in his first spell as a blue. Just a draw but the team came from behind in a dramatic game.  Tyson sadly didn't get a goal however an early cross from the left wing was uncomfortably sliced over his own crossbar by defender Sean St Ledger. A dramatic end to his league career with the Chairboys.
