Returning Wanderers hero Nathan Tyson is delighted to be back at Adams Park and he hopes to play a big role as the season progresses.

Tyson, 35, scored 44 goals in his first spell at Adams Park 12 years ago and now he has unfinished business at this level to try and help Wanderers out of the league.

He said: “It is great to be back and involved in the first two games.

“We have the quality here to do well but is is a strong league and 12 or more teams could get promoted this season.

“Not much has changed since the first time but some teams are playing differently.

“Ultimately the competition is still there and working hard is key.”

In his first spell, Tyson formed a successful partnership with Tommy Mooney and hopes to do the same with Adebayo Akinfenwa.

He added: “It will take time to read him but that will come. Hopefully we will gel really well and he is extremely effective at what he does.

“It is about reading off him and vice versa and it will click.”
