Marlow FC secured an excellent win in the first round qualifying of the FA Cup, defeating rivals Beaconsfield 2-0 at Holloways Park.

Late goals from Jordan Brown and Charley Samuel ensured Marlow would be marching onto the second round qualifying.

However, they may have to do without Brown in the next round after his was sent off for a needless second yellow..

The game was a tight affair for the most part with both teams enjoying decent possession early on. Aaron Morgan has the best chance for the home side on 35 minutes but Marlow keeper Simon Grant produced an excellent save to thwart him.

Grant again foiled Charlie Losasso and Aaron Minhas in the second half to keep his side level at 0-0 before the late goals of Brown, who skipped past two defenders and drove past Jamie Norris and Samuel, who cut in and fired a thunderbolt right into the corner of Norris’ net.
