Beaconsfield took the early season bragging rights with a superb 48-12 win over High Wycombe.

The weather was perfect and the ground condition encouraged open running rugby. So it was in the first five minutes Beaconsfield opened the scoring using their left wing Dan Cady with the first try duly converted by Aled Lewis who was to have an excellent game with the boot 7-0.
Wycombe are a good side who straight away responded with attacks of their own and after sustained pressure forced the ball over near the posts for seven points, score now 7-7.

It was then an infringement by a Wycombe player which gave the home side the opportunity of an early penalty to open the lead to 10-7.
Dan Cady followed up his first try with yet another, again on the left flank with the conversion this opened up the gap to 17-7.

Just before half-time Beaconsfield came down the right the ball was passed into the middle and the full back Joe Brawn crashed over opening the gap to 27-7.

Straight away at the beginning of the second half Beaconsfield’s centre Jack Beard took an excellent pass and went clean over for 34-7.

Wycombe came back with a try of their own but Beaconsfield clicked into gear with winger Ryan Morgan adding to the score 41-12.

One final score from the home side completed the score to 48-12.
