Following a win against Trojans the previous week, Wycombe Men’s first XI welcomed Tulse Hill & Dulwich to Bisham looking to maintain their promising start to life in South Prem Division Two.

Wycombe began the game like they had started against Trojans; dominating possession.

Errant Wycombe finishing could have proven costly in the first half as Tulse Hill & Dulwich looked to capitalise on the sin binning of Wycombe’s Craig Nevard.

However, Tulse Hill & Dulwich were unable to make the numerical advantage count. Once restored to their full compliment Wycombe started to dictate proceedings and Sam Burroughs opened the scoring with a reverse stick strike from the top D, which nestled in the top corner of the goal. The score remained 1-0 until half-time.

Wycombe began the second half like they had ended the first but knew that they had to score another to allay any nerves within the team. Following a neat passing move Stephen Sloan received the ball in the circle but was pushed. This meant that a penalty stroke was awarded to Wycombe.

Sloan calmly converted to make the score 2-0 before a Tulse Hill consolation. The win maintained Wycombe’s perfect start.
