Dr Challoner’s Grammar School held their own festival of rugby as their year groups took part against Haberdashers last weekend.
The Year 9s won 34-14 vs Haberdashers with a great team performance. Tries for Jenson Davies, Sam Fraser, Joe Kerridge, Charlie Line & Elliott Southwell with two and Luke John got two conversions.
The Year 10s also beat their rivals 47-5 with some very good tries and a good all round team performance. Tries were from Alex Bower (four), Max Morphey (two) & Rob Treloar. Josh Williams and Bower both kicked three conversions.
It was also a great morning of rugby at RGS for six lower school matches. Year 8A lost 25-5 with E Batchelor scoring for DCGS. 8B lost with H Doyle scoring for Challoner’s.
The Year 7 rugby A team lost a hard fought game against RGS with Robbie Spittal, Alex Shepherd and Freddie Moxon scoring.
The 7Bs won with George Hill scoring twice, Aidan John and Oliver Pemberton both getting one.
