Following last weekends disappointing 2-2 draw at home to Purley Walcountians, Wycombe mens first XI traveled away to play Blackheath & Elthamians looking for a positive reaction.

Early signs boded well as Wycombe dominated possession. Will Needham won the first penalty corner of the day displaying great composure down the right hand side. Despite the corner amounting to nothing it was an early warning for B&E.

Having conceded another short corner Jaz Grewal made no mistake flicking low to open the scoring at 0-1. The remainder of the first half was an attritional affair as neither side were able to fashion clear goal scoring opportunities.

Wycombe were awarded another short corner and the opportunity to score seemed to pass after a mistrap.

However Needham managed an effort on target from an acute angle and captain William Budgell delicately touched the ball past the keeper to make it 0-2.

With B&E chasing the game and seemingly losing their discipline Wycombe scored again.

Having been awarded another short corner for indiscipline Grewal flicked high into the net to make it 0-3.
