Beaconsfield welcomed a strong Aylesbury side, in what is always a fiercely contested local derby but the home side turned it into a procession with a 36-7 win.

Beaconsfield’s pack were seriously up for the game, and dominated the early exchanges.

So much so that they raced into a 29-0 lead before the visitors had responded.

Thanks to an early converted try, another catch and drive soon lead to a second try for the forwards, with evergreen club stalwart prop Kwong Lin [Beaconsfield’s other international on the pitch] claiming the glory. The conversion took the score to 14-0

Welsh wizard Aled Jones had arrived with his kicking boots on, and slotted a penalty just before half time to make the score 17 – 0.before prolific winger Dan Cady ran the length of the pitch to add to his season’s impressive try tally.

Beaconsfield fly half Matt Brown, who also had an excellent game leading the Beaconsfield defence, was next on the score sheet, using his considerable bulk to crash over from short range following a series of rucks and mauls on the Aylesbury line and Lewis converted again.

Aylesbury pulled a converted try back before Ryan Morgan scored late on with Jones making it 36-7.
