A boxer from Chalfont St Peter has an upcoming title fight to look forward to next month in Maidenhead.

Zak De Souza, 26, will be fighting Aaron Buller at the Magnet Leisure Centre in the town on March 17, sponsored by TB Promotions.

De Souza has only had one fight in his career, which finished in a draw. Although he envisages a tricky contest, he is confident his hard work in training can pay off.

He said: "I have been working hard with Stewart Scott of High Wycombe Warriors in preparation for the fight.

"It is sure to be a big event and I am looking forward to it.

"My opponent's background is all about fitness and it is something I have been putting the effort into. I need to get my weight down for the fight to 86kg.

"I am currently 91kg so there is a bit of work to do but am going in the right direction and can't wait for the fight to start."

Any proceedings from the fight will go towards the Human Appeal charity to raise the profile of boxing in the area.

After the March 17 bout, De Souza will then be fighting at the Indigo O2 Arena in April in a huge show called the Boxing Super Series.
