A keen golfer scored a sensational albatross at Beaconsfield Golf Club recently.
Matthew Payne scored a hole in 1 on the par 4 15th at Beaconsfield, earning himself a rare albatross
Friend Mark Drummond said: “I’m delighted for him as he’s tried so hard over the years to get himself to a reasonable standard, plenty of early finishes from work and weekends spent practicing have meant that he will be able to savour this moment.”
He beat the odds of six million to one and a few spectators from nearby holes heard the screams of celebration as the ball dropped in the hole followed by Matts trademark celebration, riding his club like a pony, shouting yeeehahhha.
Furthermore, the feat led him to a nett 67, winning the monthly medal.
