Tyrrell Hatton showed slight improvement has he finished tied 42nd in the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow Golf Club in North Carolina.
Hatton has had a few recent struggles on the PGA Tour but started the tournament well in tricky conditions, shooting a four under par 68 in his opening round.

However, his challenge steadily fell away after the second round where he was sat in a share of 13th place.

The third round proved the easiest for scoring but Hatton had a poor round and eventually finished way down behind eventual winner Jason Day.

This week, Hatton contests The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass in Florida. Most golfers consider this tournament the fifth major, due to its illustrious history and the quality of winners that have come out of this tournament.

After this, Hatton will be returning to Europe and is eyeing a tilt at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth Golf Club in Surrey.
