Tyrrell Hatton ended his three-month stint in the USA on a low note as he missed the cut in The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass, Florida.
Hatton, 26, played the first two rounds with eventual winner Webb Simpson but didn't make Friday's cut after two disappointing rounds.
The Marlow golfer is now on his way back to Europe to play on the European Tour, beginning next weekend at Wentworth for the BMW PGA Championship before attempting to retain his title at the Italian Open.
Hatton said on Twitter:
So my 3 months in the states is done, apart from 2 WGC events my form in regular events has been poor, pretty disappointed with my results!

Looking forward to flying back home tonight!
Some issues with my wrist will be addressed next week, should be 100% for BMW PGA 🤞🏻
