Wycombe District PSFA travelled to Woking to face St Albans PSFA in the final of the Southern Counties Cup final, winning a dramatic game 3-2.

The first opportunity came when Wycombe’s top goal scorer E’Marley Louis-Pitt was clear through on goal but the St Albans keeper brought E’Marley down on the edge of the box.

Despite the early pressure from Wycombe it was St Albans who scored first with a long range effort sailing over Mainwood in goal.

Just one minute later Wycombe provided an instant response. A perfectly weighted Moore pass put Aikman through to make it 1-1.

Pritchard, who came on early, made an instant impact from a free kick delivered into the box which Aikman finished to put Wycombe 2-1 up.

Sadly, Wycombe’s lead was short lived. An in-swinging free kick drifted over into the far side of the Wycombe goal to make it 2-2 on the stroke of half time.

With just nine minutes left, quick thinking from captain David Mantle found Hill out wide who delivered a perfect cross to find Moore who finished with an outrageous left footed volley resulting in wild celebrations.
