Tyrrell Hatton enjoyed his best finish at a Major since 2016 when he finished an excellent tied sixth at the US Open at Shinnecock Hills near New York.
Hatton shot a one under par 69 to finish six over for the tournament, which was held at one of the brutal golf courses in the world.
The 26-year-old celebrated his best finish since the 2016 Open at Royal Troon where he finished fifth.
Hatton said on Twitter: "Nice to finish off with my best round of the week. Really happy with how I played and finishing T6. Feels good to be back at the right end of the leaderboard again #USOpen."
USA's Brooks Koepka retained the title he won last year at Erin Hills with a one shot victory over England's Tommy Fleetwood, who shot a record-equalling 63 to set a challenging clubhouse target.
However, Koepka held his nerve to finish one over par for the tournament and lift the trophy.
