Bucks failed to qualify for the final stages of the Unicorns Counties T20 competition after sharing the honours in their final double-header against Shropshire at Trowbridge.

In the event, even if they had won both matches, they would not have been able to catch Berkshire, who secured the one win they needed against Herefordshire to top the group. Bucks finished third on nett run rate.

Bucks were involved in two vastly contrasting games.

In the first, they bowled out Shropshire for 92 in 16.4 overs thanks to a brilliant spell of spin from Masoor Khan, who took 4-14 in 3,4 overs. Tom Hampton and Uzair Amjaid both returned 2-18 from three overs.

Bucks won by five wickets in 15.3 overs, George Russell leading the way with 37 from 25 balls.

In the second game, Shropshire amassed a staggering 210-4 from their 20 overs, Ross Aucott and Simon Gregory adding 84 from the last six overs, with 24 runs coming off Cameron Parsons's only over.

After a delay for rain, Bucks target was revised to 90 from seven overs under the DLS system.

But they fell short 75-3, with Shelvin Gumbs scoring 32 not out from 14 balls, losing by 15 runs.

The scoreboards are on the Bucks CCc play cricket website.
