Wycombe Wanderers boss Gareth Ainsworth has secured his second signing of the summer as the Chairboys prepare for life in League One, bringing goalkeeper Ryan Allsop back to the club on a three-year deal.

Allsop, 26, returns to Adams Park having made 18 appearances for Wycombe during a loan spell at the end of the 2015/16 season.

The keeper left Premier League side AFC Bournemouth at the conclusion of his contract last month and joins the Blues on a free transfer, following spells on loan at Blackpool and Lincoln City last season.

Ainsworth said: “Ryan was our number one priority when we started making plans for next season so I’m delighted to be able to bring him back to the club, but on a permanent deal this time.

“We know what he’s all about and I was really impressed with him during his time on loan here, so I’ve kept a close eye on his progress ever since. He’s a fantastic shot stopper but he’s also great in the air and his distribution is first class, which he proved when he played against us for Lincoln a couple of months ago.

“It’s a hugely important signing for us and with Yves Ma-Kalambay signed up already for next year, we have two excellent keepers on our books who can compete for the number one jersey.”
