Taylor to revamp scouting system

WANDERERS boss Peter Taylor plans to shake up Wycombe's scouting network.

He says he doesn't want to see players like Fitz Hall, Wayne Andrews, DJ Campbell and Tresor Kandol leaving Chesham United from under the noses of Wycombe to sign for big professional clubs without Wycombe seeing them first.

Hall, Andrews and Campbell all went on to play for Premiership clubs while Kandol was Leeds United's second highest goalscorer last term.

Taylor said: "The scouting system here hasn't been good enough. I don't think we've invested as much as we should but Steve Hayes and the board are telling me that there is going to be a bit more available.

"I've met some of the scouts who have done brilliantly here but I'm trying to get them a bit more help. I want more people and will probably be looking to try and get one head of the department and making sure that we have a plan.

"The people who have done the scouting here have worked their socks off but they need more eyes and we need to do it in a planned way to give ourselves more of a chance.

"We need to keep our eyes and ears open at all the different levels."
