WANDERERS head off on a training break this week without triallist Adam Green.
The former Fulham and Woking left back, who has featured in all three of Wanderers' pre-season friendlies so far, has now also been let go.
Manager Peter Taylor released him because he wants a more attack-minded player on his left flank.
He said: "Adam is a smashing lad and a model pro but my priorities are slightly different to what he offers. I want an attacking left sider rather than a full back.
"Adam would be as safe as houses as a defender but I am looking for someone who can take people on."
Taylor is closing in on the man he believes can do that after holding talks with his target today.
He is confident he will land the player in time to include him on Wanderers' training getaway to Essex.
The Blues leave for the Five Lakes complex in Essex on Wednesday where they will combine twice daily training sessions with a bit of relaxation and golf.
During their break, which will also include a night near Stevenage, the 22-man party will play two matches as well.
They visit Taylor's former team Stevenage Borough on Friday evening (ko 7pm) before moving on to tackle Chelmsford City on Saturday (ko 3pm).
Taylor plans to use both fixtures as training exercises and says that it won't be until next Tuesday's trip up the M40 to face Oxford United that his team will begin to take shape.
