WANDERERS have disciplined Leon Knight and will hold showdown talks with the striker on Monday after he failed to play for the reserves in the 5-0 defeat at Chesham.
He was picked for Thursday's second string game but when it became clear that Knight was not going to be there for the allotted meeting time, angry manager Peter Taylor phoned him and told him not to bother.
Taylor promptly fined the £55,000 ex-Chelsea, Brighton, Swansea, Huddersfield and MK Dons marksman and ordered him to stay away from the club for this afternoon's friendly with Southend United, which Wanderers lost 2-1.
Taylor will now talk to Knight on Monday and lay it on the line to him.
Taylor said: "I have given him a letter and told him to report at the normal time on Monday.
"Leon is only a good player if he works hard. I want him to get a bit fitter and work harder.
"I think he can work harder. It may be a part of his game that he thinks he doesn't have to do but I think he does.
"We will have a chat on Monday and see how we go from there.
"I've fined him and hopefully we can sort it out and move on."
