WANDERERS opening home league game against Leeds United on August 15 has been made all-ticket – and if you are not already on the club’s database you won’t be able to buy one.

Wanderers want to stage the game without any police in the ground and because of that they are taking extra precautions with their ticket sales.

Leeds sold their entire 2,000 allocation for the August 15 clash within hours and ticketless Leeds fans have since been calling Wanderers trying to buy tickets in other areas of the ground.

But they were caught out by Blues staff, who asked them questions on Wanderers and then checked out their addresses with the Leeds database.

Now Wycombe have stopped selling to anyone who is not on their own database as they look to protect their proud safety record.

Blues recognise that this could cost them money at the turnstiles but are hoping that the money they will lose by turning people away will be nowhere near the amount they would have to spend policing the game.

Wanderers are hoping to attract a crowd of around 7,500 for the match.
