WANDERERS transfer target Scott Donnelly says he would like to play under Gary Waddock again and is hoping his former boss will come back with an improved bid for him.
Aldershot rejected Wanderers’ initial bid for the 21-year-old but the Blues are expected to up their offer before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.
Waddock is a big admirer of the midfielder. He took him to Aldershot when he moved from QPR and now he wants to link up with him for a third time.
And Donnelly admits the prospect of playing under Waddock again would excite him.
He said: “I would like to play under Gary again. I think he gets the best out of me with the way he plays.
“He is the best manager I have played under. He’s had me since I was a youth team player at QPR and he brought me here and I feel that I have played my best football under him.
"I know Gary wants me and we will just have to wait and see what happens. I would like to think there will be other bids but if not I will just get on with my football and try and get on with it."
