WANDERERS ace Kevin Betsy says he’s determined to win his place back after being dropped from the 17-man squad for last week’s goalless draw with Carlisle United.
Betsy was among the scapegoats for the previous week’s 4-3 reversal at bottom club Stockport and went from first team starter to out of the squad altogether.
Betsy’s place was taken by Matt Phillips, whose two goals after coming off the bench at Stockport put the Blues within touching distance of what would have been a famous comeback.
Chris Westwood and Alex Revell were dropped to the bench.
Boss Gary Waddock said: “Our performance last week [Stockport] was the reason I made the changes.”
Betsy took the axe on the chin and said: “I respect the manager’s decision. The team is more important than the individual and I am looking forward to hopefully being involved in the next couple of squads.”
