BLUES have suffered a double midfield whammy this week with the news that John Mousinho has rejected their contract offers.
Mousinho's snub follows hot on the heels of Scott Donnelly’s last-minute decision to join Swansea instead of Wycombe.
Mousinho impressed Gary Waddock last season and the manager was keen to keep his midfield anchor man.
But two contract offers have been rejected and there won’t be a third.
Waddock said: “He won’t be reporting back here for pre-season training on Tuesday.
“He hasn’t accepted our offer so he’ll move on elsewhere.
“I liked him as a player. We made him two offers and he rejected them. He made the decision. I wanted to keep him.”
Mousinho’s exit turns up the pressure on Waddock to find midfield reinforcements.
He said: “We have a list of targets, but whether it’s one or two players that we get in we’ll have to see.
“We have got players here already that can play in that department.”
