A DRAW in last night’s Bucks derby wasn’t enough for Beaconsfield SYCOB to climb off the foot of the Zamaretto Central Division.
Substitute Craig O’Connor scored a late equaliser for Beaconsfield as they drew 1-1 with Aylesbury at Holloway Park.
He turned his man superbly at the near post before firing in from a narrow angle as SYCOB claimed a second successive draw.
After a poor first half Aylesbury went in front when Beaconsfield keeper Carl Dennison sliced a backpass into the path of Glen Hawkins, who had a simple task to roll the ball home.
Dennison redeemed himself by pulling off a great last-minute save from Jamie Eames’ fierce long-range drive, and there was still time for Aylesbury to have a shot cleared off the line from the resulting corner.
Beaconsfield’s other main chance saw skipper Dean Harper head narrowly over from a set piece.
