Lewis: new signings will let us be positive

STUART Lewis says Wanderers will be positive in attack this season - and their new signings will be key to that.

Blues boss Gary Waddock has added to his attacking options by bringing in strikers Richard Logan, Dennis Oli and Lee Angol, along with midfielders Sam Wood and Matthew Spring.

Lewis says they will help Blues fans have a much more enjoyable campaign this time, after the misery of relegation last season.

The 24-year-old said: "We are going to go for it and be positive because that's the way we are as a group. We've got a fresh feel about us.

"If we can attack it and by positive, I can see no reason why we can't have a good enjoyable season."

The signing of Spring, released by Leyton Orient at the end of last season, means Lewis and Matt Bloomfield have a battle on their hands to nail down a central midfield berth - but it's a challenge Lewis is looking forward to.

He said: "It's always good to bring players in, who are going to add competition and keep us on our toes.

"We've got to try and up our game and try to win the shirt, and they'll be doing the same to get in the team. That's always good, and they are good quality players."
