Bartley off as Chesham lose unbeaten record
ROB Bartley was sent off as Chesham United's unbeaten start to the season was ended by previously winless Bideford Town.
A Simon Thomas penalty that gave United the lead meant the game looked like it was going to finish the way many had predicted.
But the Devon side, who had lost all four of their previous league games, drew level before Bartley was shown a straight red for lashing out after a challenge.
Things got even worse for the Generals as skipper Danny Talbot was judged to handled in the area 15 minutes from time, giving Bideford the penalty they scored their winner from.
Chesham will bid to bounce back tomorrow as they host Bashley, who are without an away win so far this season.
Beaconsfield SYCOB were the only south Bucks side to post a victory on Saturday, as they beat Thatcham 2-1 at Holloways Park.
There were more red cards as Chalfont St Peter were beaten 3-2 at Guildford City, with Saints' top scorer Adam Louth and Guildford's Austin Gacheru being dimissed for a late dust-up.
By then Saints were already 3-1 down, with Reis Stanislaus' second goal of the game in injury time a mere consolation.
In the Hellenic League Marlow were thumped 5-1 by leaders Witney despite taking an early lead through Ian Davies, while Flackwell Heath were beaten 3-2 by Binfield.
