Wycombe celebrate with the Home Counties trophy Wycombe celebrate with the Home Counties trophy

HIGH Wycombe CC set a new points record in winning the Home Counties Premier League title this season.

They beat Potters Bar by eight wickets on Saturday to finish the season with 346, two points more than the previous record of 344 shared by themselves and Henley.

Wycombe achieved this despite seeing three games lost to the weather.

Meanwhile, in Division Two West, Aston Rowant beat Thame Town on Saturday but it wasn't enough to see them pip Slough to the title.

However, the defeat did condemn Thame to relegation while Gerrards Cross finished third from bottom after losing their last match of the season at  home to new champions Slough.
