Turnovers costing Wasps

ONLY Aviva Premiership champions and leaders Harlequins have scored more points and more tries than Wasps this season.
The difference is that Wasps’ points have come at a price.
Their eagerness to attack from deep, get it wide early and take a risk has resulted in some fantastically exciting rugby, but more than once their harem skarem approach has counted against them and of the 11 they’ve tries conceded, probably half have come from turnovers.
Director of rugby Dai Young said: “People are excited about our attack, but our attack is causing us lots of problems as well.
“Gloucester’s two tries were both from our attack.
“It’s the same thing we’ve talked about in the last two weeks, you’ve got to respect the ball.
"They got two tries from needless turnovers when we were pressurising them, and it’s the hardest thing to defend from turnovers.
“Although we’re causing teams problems with the ball and we are confident we can score points, we have to develop the right decision-making process when we’ve got the ball so we’re not trying to make things when they’re not quite there.”
