£5 ticket deal extended to Torquay fans
WANDERERS’ decision to reward their loyal fans and to try and entice new ones with £5 adult tickets and £1 junior ones tomorrow has now been extended to include visiting supporters as well.
The decision comes after Torquay fans complained at being charged £17 more to watch the same game.
The cash-strapped Blues Supporters Trust, who inherited debts of £1.5million when they took control of the club, initially only introduced the scheme to encourage more Wycombe-ites to the club.
But now, after listening to complaints from Torquay fans, Wanderers have decided to extend the offer to them as well.
A Wanderers spokesman said: “We want as many people as possible to come along on Saturday and enjoy the day.
“We want to create a real family atmosphere and look forward to welcoming as many Torquay and Wycombe fans as we can.”
Special events are also being laid on for fans with a player signing session in the marquee at 12.45pm while adults can enjoy cut price drinks in the bar.

Lets all face it..... It will take a lot more that £5 tickets to get anybody to go watch WWFC. If anything they should refunds the tickets they have sold to all the fans over the past 2 seasons. It’s chicken and egg all over again....... People won’t go and watch a team who keeps loosing all the time, and the team needs supports to pay the wages/debts of the club to make them a more successful team!! It will be a true shame when WWFC goes down at the end of the season, but it might be what the club needs, to start a fresh !
Wycombe played some of the best football seen at AP for quite some time and there was a terrific atmosphere despite the low attendance. They were unlucky not to win, and some of the young players (in particular McClure and Scowen) played really well. Football is as much about confidence as anything, and after Tuesday hopefully the confidence has improved and if they can go one better and get 3 points they will be out of the relegation Zone.
Who know's what after that. So for £5 (£1 for kids, £10 for a family of 4) , get down to Adams Park and roar the team on, you never you might enjoy it and go to the next game, then the next...etc
