Wasps target October winning streak

Wasps can build up some momentum in coming weeks Wasps can build up some momentum in coming weeks

AFTER four defeats in six, Wasps can get some real go-forward in their season in the coming weeks by building on last weekend’s win over Worcester.

A second victory over Dragons followed by a win in Italy next weekend would make send the black and golds hurtling into London Welsh on their League return.

While no one would take anything for granted against a Welsh side that has hit the ground running after promotion last year, it’s another game at Adams Park and Wasps would certainly view it as a game they should win.

Director of rugby Dai Young said: “We won our last game at home and you’ve got to win your home games in any competition, that includes tomorrow night.

“Then we’re going out to Italy before a massive game in the Premiership against London Welsh.

“There is an opportunity there for us to get a couple of wins and get a bit of belief and continuity into our play. That’s not being disrespectful to the teams we’re playing, but we’ve got an opportunity.”
