EDGAR Davids could make his debut for Barnet at Adams Park on Tuesday night.

The Dutch megastar joined the Football League's bottom club, who are still without a win this season, as joint head coach last week to assist under-pressure manager Mark Robson.

Davids, who has played for some of the world's top clubs such as Juventus, Barcelona and the two Milan clubs, said he wanted to resume his playing career with the Bees, and he could take his place in the side that faces Wanderers next week.

Blues caretaker boss Gareth Ainsworth, who like Davids is 39 years old, said: "I don't know if he'll play, we'll have to wait and see. If he plays maybe I might play myself and it'll be a battle of the oldies out there."

He added: "He's a big name and a great player with what he achieved in his career.

"It's good for Barnet to have him. They are in a tough time at the moment and we've got to be on it. When you say tough games, that'll be a tough game because they'll be fighting to get off the bottom of the league."
