LOAN signings could be on their way in to Wanderers before the start of the new season, manager Gareth Ainsworth said.

The Blues boss said he was hopeful he wasn't finished with bringing new faces into the club before the campaign kicks off on August 9.

But while Ainsworth has 20 players currently signed on, he said anyone else coming in is likely to be a temporary transfer.

He said: "The loan market's important for League Two clubs and very important for me too.

"The players that have come in in the past - your Andrades, Harrimans, Rowes last year - have been fantastic players. To be able to dip into the loan market is really important for Wycombe Wanderers.

"Hopefully my dealing's aren't done yet."

Ainsworth looked on as Chelsea's younger players starred in a 5-0 friendly win at Adams Park, but he's not optimistic about being able to sign any after missing the chance to have a chat with his opposite number Jose Mourinho.

He said: "He's kept himself to himself - his football does the talking for him.

"He's one of the best there's ever been and it showed tonight with some of his players and the quality he's got.

"Someone just asked me would I fancy one of these players from Chelsea tonight. Of course I would, with open arms, but there's not many Premier League sides that loan to League Two."
