IT'S a double award nomination for Wanderers this month with Gareth Ainsworth and Paul Hayes both shortlisted for prizes.

Blues boss Ainsworth is among the four nominees for September's manager of the month award after guiding his side through the month unbeaten.

Wanderers won three and drew two of their games to move within spitting distance of the summit of the division.

Also nominated were Southend manager Phil Brown, whose side won four and drew once last month, Bury boss David Flitcroft, whose side sit top of the table, and Exeter's Paul Tisdale, who guided the Grecians to three successive 2-1 wins after a poor start to the season.

Meanwhile striker Hayes has been nominated for the player of the month prize after scoring three goals in five games, with his winner against Cambridge the 100th of his Football League career.

He's up against Northampton striker Marc Richards, who blasted six goals in four games, Southend midfielder Jack Payne and Luton defender Luke Wilkinson.
